1979
  • The Chinese Economics Reform initiated in Shenzhen, leading to a market economy.
1984
  • The Ministry of the Electronics Industry of China founded the country’s first economics reform-led entity: Shenzhen Electronics Development (SED) Industry.
1988
  • SED entered POS systems market; launched dedicated POS subsidiary.
1991
  • SED pioneered China's POS industry with its first self-developed ECR. 
1994
  • SED became a state-certified producer of tax-control devices and supplied fiscal POS systems.
1995
  • SED established a Sino-US joint venture, pioneering the globalization of the POS industry.
1997
  • SED launched the SED-3000, China's inaugural high-performance modular payment terminal, redefining POS technology.
2001
  • SED secured National Torch Program accreditation for its SED-6000 payment system, recognizing technological excellence.
2003
  • SED obtained China Compulsory Certification (CCC) for its products and secured Software Enterprise accreditation.
